Our commitment
Walla Walla University strives to provide a safe environment in which members of the Walla Walla Community can pursue their education or work free from the detrimental effects of sex discrimination, which includes all forms of sexual harassment. Therefore, the University seeks to educate students, faculty, and staff about these issues and to provide a means of recourse for those who believe they have experienced such behavior. The University reserves the right to respond with whatever measures it deems appropriate to prevent sex discrimination and preserve the safety and well-being of its students.
What is Title IX?
Title IX prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in educational programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance. Walla Walla University is committed to providing an environment free of sex discrimination (which also includes issues of sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking). The University provides resources and reporting options to students, faculty, and staff to address concerns related to sex discrimination prohibited by Title IX and University Policy.
